Learn to Crochet Bruges Lace
UPDATE 2025:
You can take this Crochet-Along on your own, or Crochet-Along with our Group.
Learn how to Crochet Bruges Lace while making these 4 doilies.
Bruges lace consists of ribbons and tape which form beautiful ornaments. These ribbons are connected by crocheting small chains and stitches. The ribbons are also decorated by chains or motifs to form the most beautiful lace work.
In this Crochet-Along, you will learn how to crochet several different kinds of Bruges ribbons and tape. You will also learn different techniques on how to shape and join them. You will do this by Crocheting four
different Bruges Doilies. The doilies shown above are all made using Thread #10. If you want a more delicate look, you can use finer thread.
